Molly the Cat

AVG understands how much I love my cats. She kindly gave me a green baggie full of cat-toys, as cat-Christmas presents, knowing that I’d enjoy introducing the girls to new playthings. Tonight I tossed the first of these to Molly, who had seemed bored. It is a small purple mouse made of some sort of metallic foil that makes wonderful krinkly noises when it’s squished, thrown or bitten.

Needless to say, Molly is in love with the krinkle mouse, and indeed, Twinkie took a strong interest as well. I witnessed a rather tense moment in which both cats went for the mouse at the same time. They nearly bonked heads. Molly got to it first, and was obliged to smack Twinkie to keep her away from the bounty. The elder cat was pissed, but backed off. She jumped onto the couch to sulk and pretended not to watch Molly playing.
